In preparation for the Sasria rate increase with effect from 01 January 2022 we are updating our system to effect these changes.
The new rates become effective as follows:
New business on 1 January 2022
Monthly and annual policies on their annual anniversary date.
A very important new category ‘F2 – Fire Commercial (Office)’ has been introduced for commercial buildings occupied as offices only. This change may result in a reduction of Sasria rates to our mutual clients benefit.
It is important to check that the correct occupation has been captured per building on renewals from 01 January to ensure that the correct Sasria rating has been applied.
Another very important occupation to consider is guest houses,
BNB's, hotels and related hospitality occupations. If these risks do not have a liquor licence the lower residential Sasria may be applied. If however, they do have a liquor licence the higher commercial Sasria must be applied.
Please note that the implementation of the new rating structure in our system may result in minor variances to current Sasria premiums.
